二、教材简析
本单元围绕城市卫生环境这一话题,以今昔宜兴的市容环境对比为切入口,通过询问城市环境“脏、乱、差”的成因以及如何改善市容环境,使之变得“洁、齐、美”,提出建议展开对话。引导学生发现城市环境卫生存在的问题,并思考解决问题的方法,增强环保意识,能在实际生活中关注环境卫生。
三、目标预设
1. 能听懂,会读,会说单词:air,smoke,rubbish,messy,dead,move...away from,bin,plant,more等。
2 能听懂,会读,会说句子:What makes ...dirty/messy? ...make(s)... dirty/messy. 。
3. 能正确地理解并朗读课文,在教师的引导帮助下尝试复述课文,并能初步运用本课所学的词汇和句型谈论城市环境存在的问题,尝试提出解决方法。
4. 通过本课学习,培养学生交流合作能力、观察对比分析问题能力、探究解决问题能力、自主学习能力;增强学生的环保意识,能在实际生活中关注环境卫生。
四、重点、难点
教学重点:能正确理解并朗读对话内容,并能在教师引导和帮助下复述课文。
教学难点:能初步运用本课所学的词汇和句型谈论城市环境存在的问题,并尝试提出其他的解决方法。

1. Watch a video: About Yixing
What do you think of Yixing?
2. Look at some old pictures of Yixing
Guess: what city is it?——Yixing 30 years ago
What do you think of Yixing 30 years ago? ——It was messy and dirty.(新授)
3. Compare the city now and 30 years ago
Which one do you like to live in?
Why do you like living in the clean city?
4. Compare and think:
When you live in a dirty and messy city, what will happen to you?
Everybody would like to live in a clean and tidy city. So we should keep our city clean.(揭题)
Step2 Presentation
1. Look and guess
Look, Miss Li and her students are talking about their city too. Why do they talk about their city?
2. Listen and answer
The city is ________. They want to find ways to keep the city ________.
3. Look and ask
What is dirty?—— air, river, street(板书)
These we’ve called “Problems”.
What makes the air dirty? Can you ask some questions like this?
4. Read and underline
Read P58 and answer the questions. Find out the reasons.(板书reasons)

(2)What makes the streets messy and dirty? ——Rubbish makes the streets messy and dirty.
