4. 让学生体会到阅读故事的乐趣,培养学生阅读的兴趣。

Step 1 Greeting & Free talk

1. Greetings

T: Hello, boys and girls.

S: Hello, Miss …

T: Nice to see you.

T: What’s the date today?

T: When’s your birthday?

What do you do on your birthday?

Do you often  on your birthday?

You all have a lot fun on your birthday. I usually watch a play with my son. Do you like watching plays? (新授play戏剧)

【设计意图:通过free talk来复习如何询问别人的生日,了解他人是如何过生日。通过最后一个问题导入本课Cartoon time的学习内容。】

 

Step 2 Presentation (Cartoon time)

1. 出示Cartoon time 图片1

T: Today, Bobby, Sam and Billy are having a play. Look, Bobby is a hero in a play.

(学习 hero 英雄) 

T: Bobby should open the door .What does he need?

A: He needs a key.

B: He needs the password?

(新授password 密码)

2. Watch the cartoon

T: What does he need?

A: He needs a key.

B: He needs the password?

3. T: Now I have some questions for you. (PPT呈现以下问题)

(1) Can Bobby work out (解出) the password? Why?

(2) What’s the password?

(3) Does Bobby win the fight against (赢得……战役) the pig?

(4) Who does Bobby save (拯救)?

T: Please open your book read the story with these question.

4. T: Now let’s come to the questions. Can Bobby work out (解出) the password? Why?  

S: Yes, he can. Because he is good at Maths.

T: Good. What’s the password?                       

S: The first number is six. The second number is three. The third number is also six. The fourth number is two. (新授单词number)   

T: Does Bobby win the fight against (赢得……战役) the pig? (新授单词fight)

S: Yes, he does.

T: Who does Bobby save (拯救)? (新授单词save)                        

S: He saves a cat.

【设计意图:由play导入本课学习内容,观看动画后让学生带着问题自己阅读Cartoon time寻找答案,培养学生掌握一定的学习策略,启迪学生的思维,养成自主学习的习惯。在解决问题的过程中读懂故事传递的信息理解掌握新单词 number, password, answer, start, fight

 

Step 3 Practice

1. Read the story

T: Let’s read the story. Pay attention to the pronunciation, intonation and the mood of the characters.

【设计意图:在理解故事的基础上,跟读课文对话,注意语音语调的变化,有感情的模仿人物对话。】

T: Do you like the play? Try to act the play in groups of four.

【设计意图:进一步引导学生用正确的语音语调来表演故事,在活动中,让学生在情景中对文中短语和句子进行熟练掌握,以表演的形式来进行学习,巩固的过程并不会显得枯燥,提高学生学习的积极性,培养学生学习英语的浓厚的兴趣,让学生在表演中体验英语学习的乐趣和成就感。】

3. Add an ending to the story

T: After Bobby saves the “Beauty”, what will happen? Can you add an ending to the play? Talk and act in pairs.

【设计意图:在表演故事的基础上,老师安排学生小组讨论,给这个戏剧编写一个结局,发挥学生的想象力和创造力。】

 

Step 4 Checkout time

1. Look and say

T: Why are they having a play today? (教师呈现图片)

S: Because it’s Sam’s birthday.

T: When’s Sam’s birthday?

S: It’s on the 30th of June.

T: What do they do at the party? (学生根据教师图片提示回答)

S: They have a birthday party. They eat a birthday cake.

T: Oh, they all have a good time at the party. Our friends Liu Tao and Yang Ling are talking about their birthdays now. Let’s listen and choose.

1. When is Liu Tao’s birthday?          S: It’s on the 15th of June.

2. When’s Yang Ling’s birthday?         S: It’s on the 18th of June.

3. When is the birthday party?           S: It’s on the 16th of June.

【设计意图:通过回忆 Sam 过生日的情节,帮助学生再次复习巩固日期的表达方式和生日的活动,同时为下一环节的贺卡制作做好铺垫。】

3. Make and say

T: Their birthdays are coming. Let’s make a birthday card for them. Do you remember how to make a Christmas card.

 (教师出示上册制作圣诞节贺卡的图片)

T: First, fold a card. Then, write your messages in it. Finally, draw some pictures on it. Can you tell me how to make a birthday card now?

(学生复述制作卡片的过程)

T: Now, let’s make a birthday card for Liu Tao and Yang Ling. You can also send your card to your friends or your parents?

【设计意图:通过复习圣诞卡片制作方式,帮学生再次回顾卡片的制作过程,学生独立或者小组合作完成生日卡片的制作,并将卡片送给自己朋友或者家人。】

说课

本节课热身环节从师生互问生日及生日活动开始,谈及到老师的生日活动是看戏剧,从而过渡到Bobby and Sam今天也在上演一场戏剧。Cartoon time环节,老师提出问题,学生带着问题观看卡通,并学习单词password安排学生独立阅读故事的环节来解决4个问题,帮助学生理解故事大意。

在理解朗读的过程中掌握新单词number, answer, fourth, start, fight体会动画人物的情感。Checkout time通过回顾Sam过生日的场景引出Liu TaoYang Ling 如何过生日的,由口头落实到听力,使学生再次回顾日期的表达和生日活动的表达。最后由于Liu Tao and Yang Ling’s birthdays are coming.教师提议给他们做一张生日贺卡,做贺卡之前先回顾了上学期做圣诞节贺卡的步骤,旧带新。
