(一)知识目标
1. 能听懂、会读、会说单词birthday, eleventh, eighth, April, together, game。
2. 能听懂、会读、会说短语a birthday cake, eat noodles, have a party, play games。
3. 能正确理解和朗读课文,并在教师的引导和帮助下尝试复述课文内容。
(二)能力目标
1. 能初步掌握“Birthday”话题的相关语言知识,并能初步运用本课所学的词汇和句型谈论自己或他人的生日,提高英语语言能力。
2. 锻炼英语听说读写能力和分析、解决问题的能力,鼓励独立思考和团队合作交流,提高英语学习能力。
3. 学习思维导图的绘制方法,并运用于语篇理解中,助力英语阅读理解,提升英语思维品质。

1. 能在比较中了解中西方生日文化的差异和不同的庆生活动,发现中西方文化的趋同,培养学生的文化意识和世界意识,提高跨文化交际能力。

Step1. Greetings and warming up
1. Enjoy a song “Months of the year” before class.复习月份英文单词。
2. Get to know me: My name is April. I like reading. Can you guess when is my birthday? → In April
新授birthday(bird迁移),揭示课题:Unit8 Birthdays。
3. A new friend: June.
Can you guess when is her birthday? →Her birthday is coming!
主题揭示:Plan for June’s birthday
Step2. Pre-reading(Get some useful things)
1. Brain storm: What do we need for June’s birthday?
2. 课堂活动分组竞争:点击选出我们需要的生日物品。(将上一单元几个传统节日的相关物品放入作为干扰项,进行复习和区分。)
Step3. While-reading(Learn from others’ experiences)
1. Listen and answer: Whose birthdays are they talking about?
①Su Hai: It’s also Su Yang’s birthday. Why?→twins

初步体会日期的英文表达。
4. Read and underline: What do they do and how do they feel on their birthdays?ing for dinner? 扫读课文,用不同的下划线做标记。

看图理解have a big dinner,追问:Who do they have a big dinner with?

6. Listen and imitate Part1.
7. Try to retell Part1:老师带领引导,全班一起复述。

8. Mike’s birthday: 小组合作画出思维导图。

询问画图情况,是否有不同画法?追问:When do they buy a birthday cake? When do they eat the cake and play games?
出示新版思维导图,追问:Who do they have a party with?
Mike: We eat the birthday cake together and play some games.新授together(联想记忆法+英汉字典)。

10. Try to retell Part2:根据思维导图,学生自主复述。
11. Let’s think: What's the difference between their birthdays?
思考中西方生日文化的不同之处:what to do/what to eat/who together。
→The world is changing(变化), the culture is merging(融合)
Step4. Post-reading(Make a birthday plan)
1. Group task: Design a mindmap for June's birthday and try to introduce.
小组合作:以思维导图的形式,为June即将到来的生日设计一份计划,并试着介绍。(给出参考图示和参考句型)
2. Moral education:
Birthday=birth+day
Who gives birth to you? Do you know your mother’s birthday? What about your father’s? What do you usually on their birthdays?
Birthdays are also the days of gratitude.启发学生感恩父母。
Homework 家庭作业
1. Listen, read and retell the story. 跟读录音,熟练朗读并复述课文。
2. Draw a mindmap to plan for your parent's birthday. Then try to write it down.
画一幅思维导图,为爸爸或妈妈制定一个生日计划,并试着写一写。
