Step 1Warm-up
1. Guessing game
T:Good morning,boys and girls. Before the class, let’s play a game first. I will do some actions, please guess the meaning.
T:What does it mean? (你划我猜,教师表演OK,yeah,love,stop,be quiet,no,学生猜意思)
T: (PPT显示stop,be quiet,no的标志) Look, what are they?
S:Signs.
T: Yes, there are a lot of signs around us, and Today we will learn about “Signs”.(引题,新授sign,教读课题)

2.Think and talk
T: Wonderful, you all did a good time. Now, look at this picture if I add this sign
to it, what does it mean?
S:Don’t shout.
T:Yes, it means you can’t shout. We can also call it “No shouting.”
T:Here are the signs we’ve learned before. (以思维导图的形式出示No running/drinking/talking/eating/sleeping标志)
T: “What does it mean? —It means…” (新授mean,教读句型,初步感知)

Step 2 Presentation
T: Boys and girls,now you know many signs. Please think, where can you see the signs?
S: I can see signs in a library/cinema/bus …
T: Great! We also can see these signs at a shopping centre.(出示万达照片,新授shopping centre.)
T:What can we do at a shopping centre?
S: We can do some shopping, have some food…
T: At a shopping centre, we can buy some chothes, we can have nicae food, and we can also watch films there.(浏览万达图片,介绍感知shopping centre)
1. Watch and answer
T:Look, our friends are at a shopping centre. Who are they?
S: They are Mike, Helen and Tim.
T:They see many signs there. Now please watch the cartoon and answer my questions.
(1) How many signs do they see?
(2) What are they?
(播放动画)
T:Let’s check the answer.
2. Look and match
T: They go to some places and see four signs. Now please look at the pictures and match the signs with the places.(浏览课文图片,匹配地点与标志)

3. Think and talk
T:Can you see the sign? What does it mean?
(出示 “wet floor”标志观察) What can you see?
S: A man and some water.
T:Yes,the person is falling down, because there is some water on the floor. So we can call the sign “wet floor”.
S:It means (选择the floor is wet.)
T:What’s the usage of the sign?
S: 警示
T: If you see the sign, what can you say?
S:Don’t run./ Look out./Watch out…
T:What does Mike say?Please listen.
S:Be careful.(新授careful,指导阅读语气)
T:Why does Mike tell Tim to be careful? Can you imagine?
S:Maybe he is running.
T:Great. Can you act this part?You can add your own words.

4. Listen and fill
T:Then they go to a juice shop. Look at this sign,what can you see?
S:There is a hand and a piece of paper,.
T:Yes, it means “No littering”.(匹配后观察图片,新授litter)
Please listen carefully, and fill in the blanks.
T: Let’s check the answer. We can’t litter when we see this sign, so where can we throw the rubbish?
T:We should put rubbish in the bin. But is there a rubbish bin?
S:No.
T:If I have some rubbish now. What can I do?
S:Maybe you can put it in the bag/pocket…
T: Nice. You’re very clever. We can find the bin and throw the rubbish later.

5. Read and fill
T: There are two signs left. Please work in group of four and learn it by yourselves.

T:You’re right. If we eat and drink there,we may get the books dirty. And what other signs can you see in the bookshop or the library?
S:Don’t shout/run/Be quiet…
T:Very good. We should follow the signs.
b. Restaurant
(新授 restaurant,smoke)
T: “I can smell it.”Can you act it?(鼓励学生表演,感知课文)
T: What can you say to the man?
S:Excuse me…/Don’t…
T:We can’t smoke in the restaurant. Do yo know any other places that we can’t smoke?
S: In the library/museum…
T:Yes, but if someone has to smoke, where can he go?
S:吸烟区。
T: What other signs can you see in the restaurant?(拓展光盘行动标志)

根据板书与提示复述课文,巩固复习。
2. Let’s think
创设情境,Mike,Helen和Tim在公园看见其他标志,该如何对话。
【设计意图:让学生在真实情境中,锻炼学生的口语能力,对标志的内容加以拓展巩固。】
3. Look and discuss
展示生活中图书馆、美术馆、博物馆等地的标志,与学生讨论含义We should notice the signs, follow the rules and be civilized.

4. Think and talk
出示校园中的一些不文明行为,让学生以Please don’t…给出建议。
让学生针对不文明行为设计标志。
