【设计意图:通过齐唱Polly, put the kettle on复习巩固上一节课所学歌曲,同时也借助于唱歌达到热身活动的目的,帮助学生以愉悦的心情进入英语课堂。】

 

Step 3 Game time

T: Now let’s play a game.

1. T: I have three phrases here. They are about “Who”, “What” and “Where”. You should make a sentence with these phrases.

    For example:  you   play football   in the playground

You are playing football in the playground.

Jim’s father     eat apples    near the shop

Jim’s father is eating apples near the shop.

2. T: Do you like this game? How to play? Let’s look at the rules

    First, boys think about “Who”.

    Next, girls think about “What”.

    Then, I think about “Where”.

    Finally, make a sentence as quickly as you can.

T: Are you ready? Go!

3. Let’s play the game!

【设计意图:通过游戏的方式复习巩固现在进行时句型。本游戏的设计关注到班级全体学生,使每一个学生都能参与到游戏之中,积极思考句子,从而避免了个别学生表演的现象。】

 

Step 4 Cartoon time

1. Try to think (the whole story)

T: Today I’ll tell you a story about Bobby, the pest and the ladybird.

(Teach: pest, ladybird)

T: What’s happening between them?

(1) Watch the cartoon

(2) 利用图片引导学生说出大致的故事情节

T: What does Bobby grow in his garden? (Teach: grow)

T: There are some pests on the grapes.

T: What are the pests doing there? (They’re eating Bobby’s grapes.)

T: Then, some ladybirds come. They help Bobby to drive the pests away.

T: The pests go away. But the ladybirds don’t. What are they doing? (They’re eating Bobby’s grapes.)

【设计意图:利用图片逐步引导学生说出大致故事情节,让学生对整个故事有个初步的了解。同时,图片的引导能够帮助学生积极思考,有效理解故事大意。】

2. Try to think (四种心情)

T: What are Bobby’s feelings?

(1) happy and proud

T: At first, Bobby is happy and proud. Why? (课件出示图1) Because he has many grapes in his garden. They are big and sweet.

Try to read. 学生模仿语气朗读Bobby的话。

(2) angry

T: Next, there are some pests on his grapes. (课件出示图2) So Bobby is very angry. What’re they talking about? Let’s listen.

Try to listen. 学生听句子并模仿说。

(3) happy

T: Then, some ladybirds come. Look, what are they doing? (课件出示图3) They are helping Bobby to drive the pests away.

Try to act. 学生5人一组模仿表演。

(4) confused

T: The pests go away. But Bobby is confused. Why? (课件出示图4) Because the ladybirds are eating his grapes. What will Bobby say?

Try to say. 同桌想象Bobbyladybirds之间会发生怎样的对话,思考并说说。

【设计意图:通过Bobby的心情变化,分别解读四个故事片断。同时采用四种不同的教学方式,带领学生由易到难逐步体会人物的心情变化,从而步步深入故事。】

说课

本节课教师在课的开始利用歌曲Polly, put the kettle on带领学生以愉悦的心情走入英语学习。接着,教师采用游戏的方式,复习巩固了现在进行时态句型。在游戏时,教师通过男生说出一个人物,女生说一个动作,加上教师的地点,快速组合句子的方式将全班所有学生都加入到游戏的队伍之中。在进行本游戏时,由于每个人所想不同,组合时往往会产生意外的惊喜。学生们在游戏中,活跃思维,又巩固了所学句型。

本节课的新授环节是Cartoon time,在导入故事时,教师利用三个人物Bobby, pestladybird的图片,引发学生探究:他们三者之间到底发生了什么事情?接着,在观看完动画之后,教师利用思维导图的方式来引导学生了解故事大意,从而使学生对整个故事有个初步概念。

在学习Cartoon time时,教师牢牢抓住Bobby的四种心情变化happy and proudangryhappyconfused来逐步分析故事。与此同时,教师在处理每个心情时,采用不同的教学方式Try to readTry to listenTry to actTry to say来帮助学生深入理解故事人物情感。这四个步骤由易到难,成阶梯式逐步引领学生走向自主学习之路,体验到学习的快乐与成功。
