第一课时 Story time
(一)教学目标
知识目标:
1. 能正确理解、掌握对话内容,并能朗读对话。
2. 能正确地听、说、读词汇:Christmas, present, Christmas tree, Father Christmas, pretty, thing, Christmas Eve, stocking, wait for, finally, Christmas Day, turkey, pudding, have a good time
3.能正确地听、说、读、写词汇:buy, next, put, look, early
3. 初步尝试运用重点句式进行与语篇相关的表达。
能力目标:
1. 能了解有关圣诞节的活动。
2. 能初步运用First…Next…Then…Finally…句型来叙述圣诞节活动的先后顺序。
情感目标:
使学生对西方国家文化与礼仪有一个初步的了解,培养学生中西方文化交际的能力。
(二)教学重难点
重点:通过正确理解课文了解圣诞节的相关活动,初步表演对话,并能借助图片和关键词复述课文;
难点:正确运用叙述做某事的先后顺序的句型。
(三)教学过程
Step 1 Warming up
1. Enjoy the song<We wish you a Merry Christmas>
2. Talk about Christmas.
T: What do you know about Christmas?
S:……(学生可用中文回答)
T:Do you know when is Christmas?
S:12月25日。(learn:Christmas Day, Christmas Eve)
(学习圣诞节有关短语和单词:Christmas tree, present, Father Christmas, stocking, turkey, Christmas pudding)
T:老师也准备一些圣诞小礼物,表现好就可以获得小礼物哦。向别人祝福圣诞节快乐时We can say”Merry Christmas!”
Step 2 Presentation
1. T:At Christmas, people usually spend time with their family.
2. Watch and choose
Q: So does Mike’s family. They always have a lot of fun at Christmas. Today we will learn Unit8<At Christmas>.(揭题,齐读课文标题)
T:Watch the cartoon and choose: What do they do at Christmas?

3. Read and order(可以根据图片排序)
T:Please open your books and turn to page78. Read quickly by yourselves and order the four actions.

5. 解读第三幅图
(1)Listen and say : What do they do on Christmas Eve?(板书 on Christmas Eve)
发散学生的思维,激活学生的已知,学习 wait for presents (板书)
(2)文化渗透:西方儿童在圣诞夜临睡之前,要在壁炉前或枕头旁放上一只长筒袜,等待圣诞老人在他们入睡后把礼物放在长筒袜里。
(3)齐读。
6. 解读第四幅图
(1)Read in groups and underline:On Christmas Day, what do they do?通过一些生词的提示,结合图片,组内自读课文。(板书On Christmas Day)

(2)文化渗透:正像中国人过春节吃年夜饭一样,西方人过圣诞节时,全家人会共进节日美餐。在传统的圣诞大餐,烤火鸡是不可缺少的菜式。圣诞节吃火鸡的习俗盛行于美国,圣诞大餐的另一部分是甜点,如饼干、蛋糕、布丁等。
