Hello, boys and girls. Welcome to my class.

I’m your new English teacher——Miss Liu.

Today, we are going to learn Project 2 Reuse and recycle.(period 1)

1. Warm up

What do you know about our Earth?

First, let’s enjoy some pictures of the Earth.

I agree with you. Our Earth is so beautiful.

We have lucid water and green mountains.

There are a lot of lovely animals.

What else? Yes. There are a lot of resources. Such as, coal and oil. They are very useful.

But...What’s wrong with the Earth?

Oh, how terrible! No blue sky, not much water, too much plastic, not many trees.

(2) Think(Why): What happened to the Earth? Can you tell me why?

You’re right. People do many attack and destroys.

So, there are many kinds of pollution.

Such as, air pollution, land pollution and water pollution.

What makes the air messy and dirty? (air pollution)

Yes. Black smoke from factories/cars makes the air dirty.

In some places, people cut down too many trees.

What will happen?

Look! It will result in sandstorm and floods. People may lose their life.

 

What makes the streets messy and dirty? (land pollution)

Well done! Rubbish makes the streets messy and dirty.

People throw rubbish everywhere.

Some plastic, batteries will destroy the land.

What will happen if we use too much plastic?

Look! It will result in White pollution. It will also destroy the land.

 

What makes the water dirty? (Water pollution)

Good job! Rubbish makes the water dirty.

What do people pour into the river?

Yes. Some dirty water.

干旱: But in some places, there is not much water.

It is also a problem.
