一、课题

译林版小学英语六上Unit 6 Keep our city clean 单元复习课与课外融合课

二、教材简析

本单元围绕过城市卫生环境这一话题,通过询问城市市容环境“脏、乱、差”的成因以及如何改善市容环境提出建议展开对话,话题贴近学生生活。通过本课的学习,引导学生发现城市、学校和自己家中的环境卫生存在的问题,并思考解决问题的方法,从而增强环保意识,改变自身或提醒他人不良行为,更加珍惜和热爱城市环境。

三、目标预设

1.能熟练运用本课所学的词汇和句型谈论城市、学校和家中环境卫生存在的问题,并提出解决方法。

2. 通过本课的学习,培养交流、合作能力、分析解决问题能力、自主学习能力;能增强环保意识,改变自身或提醒他人不良行为,更加珍惜和热爱城市环境。

四、重点、难点

教学重难点:能熟练运用本课所学的词汇和句型谈论城市、学校和家中环境卫生存在的问题,并提出解决方法。

五、设计理念

坚持“学生是学习的主体,把课堂还给学生”这一新课标理念,教学设计努力做到基于生情,从学生的已知、已能出发,引导学生开展由易至难、循序渐进的学习活动,促进学生意义学习。通过创设合理的情境,引领学生在情境中利用形成和内化了的结构化知识去分析问题和解决问题,使得学生在语言能力得到发展的同时,思维品质与文化意识也得到了培养,进而实现语言技能向学科素养的转化。

六、教学过程

Step 1 Greeting & Revision

THello, boys and girls. Are you ready for class? Good! Let’s begin our class. Today we’ll review “Unit 6 Keep our city clean”.

T: Cities are the places we live in, and we need to keep our city clean. In your eyes, is our city clean?

T:OK. I think some places in our city are clean and beautiful. But some places are dirty and messy. Let’s watch a video. What problems can you find out?

1. T: What problems can you find out?(贴problems You please.

S1: The street is messy and dirty.

T: Yes. And what makes the street messy and dirty? (贴Reasons

S1: Rubbish makes the street messy and dirty. (板贴…make(s)…)

T: What rubbish can you see on the street?

S1: I can see some masks on the street.

S2: I can see some bottles on the street.

T: What can we do to keep the street clean? (贴Ideas

S3: We can put the masks and bottles in the bin.

T: Good idea. And we should put them in the right bin.

2. T: What other problems can you find out?

  S1: The air is dirty.

T: What makes the air dirty?

S2: Smoke from cars makes the air dirty.

T: Yes. Now most of us come to school by car. How do you come to school?

S2: I come to school by car.

T: So what can you do to keep the air clean?

S2: I can take the bus to school.

T: Good boy. What else makes the air dirty?

S3: Black smoke from factories makes the air dirty.

T: Right. There are many factories. What can we do to keep the air clean?

S3: We can move some factories away from ou city.

T: Really? Move to the countryside? Then the air of the countryside will be dirty?

  I think it can’t solve the problem. Maybe we should develop and use new energy. (板贴new energy)

It helps reduce air pollution. For example, new energy vehicles are around us now.

3. T: Any more problems?

S1: The river is dirty.

T: What makes the river dirty?

S1: Dirty water makes the river dirty.

T: What can we do to keep the river clean?

S1: We can’t pour dirty water into the river. (板贴We can’t…)

T: That’s right. If there are some fish in the river. What will happen?

S1: They will be dead.

T: Yes. And the dead fish make the river dirty too. If we drink the dirty water in this river, what will happen?

S: We will be ill.

T: Right. And maybe we will have cancer. And probably we will be dead too. Is that terrible?

T: Look, these things make the city dirty and messy. We call them pollution. And what is pollution? Can you read?

S: Pollution is anything that makes the earth (地球) unhealthy and dirty.

T: So the first one is land pollution. (板贴land pollution)

  The second one is air pollution. (板贴air pollution)

 The third one is water pollution. (板贴water pollution)

T: Pollution is a serious problem in many cities. What other pollution do you know?

S1: White pollution. (板贴white pollution)

看图片,T: Plastic bags(板贴Plastic bags) make the ocean dirty. And they also make the animals ill.

T: Do you have any good ideas to stop white pollution?

S1: I think we can use the paper bag. (板贴paper bag)

T: Great idea. In our daily life, we can’t use too many plastic bags. We can use paper bags and degradable plastic bags. When we have drinks, we can use paper straws.

T: Now I want you to think about whether I do something to keep our city clean in our daily life. Look at the city, what can I do to keep our city clean ?

T: For the city, you can be a good speaker and supervisor. The city will be clean and nice.

Step 2  School

T: Last week, I received some messages from the headmaster group. Now let’s have a look.

S: No, it isn’t.

T: What makes the classroom messy and dirty?

S1: Packing bags(PPT上教读) make the classroom messy and dirty.

S2: Napkins(PPT上教读)  make the classroom messy and dirty.

T: How dirty and how messy! I’m sure there are more problems in our school. What other problems do you know in our school? Please discuss in pairs.

S1: I can see some banana skins near the bin.

S2: There are some masks at the school gate.

T: Wow, you can find out so many problems. It’s very serious. Then, let’s talk : What can we do to keep our school clean? You can discuss in four.

S1: We can use the bin without plastic bags. Because plastic bags are bad for our school.

S2: We can plant more trees. Because Trees make our school beautiful. They also help keep the air clean.

S3: We can’t eat many snacks. Because packing bags make our school dirty and messy.

S4: We can’t throw napkins into our desks. Because they make our desks dirty and messy. We can throw them into paper trash bag. Then, we can throw them into the bin.

T: Good! You have many ideas.  And remember:Starts from me, correct our bad action. Then, we can keep our school clean and beautiful.

Step 3 House

T: Boys and girls, we love clean and beautiful school. How about your houses? Let’s read a picture book <Just a mess>. After reading, please try to say: What do you think of the boy? Good or bad?Why?

S1: I think the boy is bad. Because his room is messy and dirty.

S2: I think the boy is good. Because he can clean his room.

T: Maybe he is good, maybe he is bad. Let’s judge:He did something good or something bad?

1. He couldn’t  find his baseball mitt.(出示图片)

T: What’s you idea? Good or bad?

S1: I think it is bad.Because his room is very messy.

S2: I think it is good. Because it makes him clean his room.

T:  I’m so glad you are good thinkers.

2. He asked his mother to help him.

    S1: I think it is bad. Because Mum is always busy.

3. He put a few things in the closet. (看插图)

S1: I think it is good. It helps keep the room tidy.

4. He put his clothes in the drawers. (看插图)

S1: I think it is good. He can do it by himself.

   T: At last, everything was just perfect. He found his baseball mitt. What can you learn from the story?

   S1:We should do the things by ourselves.

  T: Good job! We should do the things by ourselves. Starts from me. Now I’d like you to tell me: What can you do to keep your houses clean?

  S1: I can clean the floor.

S2: I can make the bed by myself.

S3: I can put rubbish in the bin.

....

T: Just do it. Start from me, correct our bad action. Then we can keep our houses clean.

Step 4 Summary and practice

T: From this lesson, we can do a lot to keep our city/school/house clean. Now you can choose one to write.

Yixing is a nice city. I want to be a good citizen(市民) to keep our city clean. I always put rubbish in the bin. That keeps the streets clean.I always drive to work. That makes the air dirty.I think I can go to work by e-bike. And I can use both sides of the paper. Because that saves trees. I hope our city gets better and better.

T: Now it’s your turn. Think and write it down on the paper.

 Your ideas are great. I hope we can find out the problems, try to think of good ideas.And most importantly, start from me, correct our bad action. Remember better city, better life.

1. Read a picture book or watch a short video about “ Environmental protection”
