Unit 4 Then and now (Story time)
一、教学目标:
1.语言能力
(1)能听懂、会读、会说词汇e-book, mobile phone, newspaper, radio, telephone, e-friend, anywhere, could
(2)能听懂、会读、会说日常用语could/could not …以及动词过去式的表达。
(3)能正确地解Story time并能按照正确的意群及语音语调朗读对话,在教师的引导和帮助下尝试复述课文内容。
2.思维品质
在对话学习的过程中,通过对文本信息进行分析和学习,并充分利用思维导图,创设提取、概括、归纳、推理等有效学习活动,激发思维的灵活性,提升思维的逻辑性,引发思维的创造性,从而提升学生的思维品质。
3.文化品格
(1)通过学习对话,让学生了解成长的意义。
(2)通过小组阅读和讨论活动,培养学生团队合作精神。
4.学习能力
(1)通过听力、速读等形式捕捉有效信息,借助思维导图理清文本脉络,提升文本复述能力。
(2)能在小组交流中有提升表达自我观点的能力,大胆进行猜测推理,并能有效迁移运用。
(3)通过个人独立思考、小组讨论猜想等方式,有效进行学习的思维路径建构。
二、教学重点

(5) Talk about Mr Brown
T:That’s Mike’s change.What about Mr Brown? What did he do twenty years ago?
Listen,read and discuss.(学生自读课文第二段,尝试找出Mr Brown20年前和现在的变化)
S1: Mr Brown wrote letters to his friends then.
S2: He used the telephone at home and in the office then.
S3: He called people with telephone then.
T: Great. Twenty years ago, Mr Brown wrote letters to his friends. He used the telephone at home and in the office.He called people with telephone then. Look at these words. (教师板书“wrote,used”等相关内容并教学动词的过去式)
T: What does he have now? What can he do now?
S4: He has a mobile phone.
T: Yes. Does he call people just at home and in the office?
S5: No,he doesn't.He can call people anywhere.
T: Yes. He can call people at home, in the office, in the car, in the shop. Anywhere.(根据学生的回答随机板书)

(7) Talk about Grandpa
We know Mike and Mr Brown's changes. How about Grandpa? He is an old man. What could he do 30 years ago? What did he have 30 years ago? What can he do now? Read and underline in groups.
(自读课文后,小组合作,学生根据自己的生活经验进行猜测)

5.Look at the blackboard, we know Mike, Dad and Grandpa's changes.(根据板书内容复习三个人的变化)
(8) Talk about Mrs Brown
Read, discuss and try to finish the mind map about Mum's.
(在学生阅读课文的基础上,小组讨论尝试帮助完成板书,在此过程中让学生明白“made,bought”是“make,buy”的过去式,讨论优化的板书内容)
