9AUnit 4 Integrated skills

Teaching objectives:

1. Knowledge objectives:

(1) listen carefully and try to get the details they need to finish some tasks.

(2) learn about the danger of the wars.

2. Ability objectives:

(1) talk about one’s life experience according to time clues

(2) talk about the topic about wars..

3. Value objectives：

Talk about the pain of wars. Wish the wars will never happen again.

Teaching key points and difficult points:

Some key words , phrases &sentences ,  e.g.

record, victory, spirit, German, thought, courage.

break out, lose their lives, translate into, die of/from , live in fear of one’s life….etc

Designing aims

Step1: Lead in

1. show a video about World War II

2. Present some pictures about World War II and teach the new words like symbol and victory etc. and introduce Anne and her diary.

介绍二战有关知识的过程中穿插新单词的教授，学生学得比较自然，印象更深刻。

Step2:  Listening

Part A1 1) Go through the table first with the students together , make sure they know what they’re going to listen to .

2) Play the tape for them to listen and get the information they need ,and finish A1.

Listening tips:

1).Please read part A1 quickly before listening.

2).Please guess the meaning of a word by its information.

3). You need to remember the details and write down as quickly as you can.

本环节要注重学生听力技巧上的指导。

Step3: Step3:Listening

Now we will learn more about the writer,Ann Frank.Next,we will listen to PartA2,pay attention to the time mentioned in the recording. Check the answers together.

 把听力技巧运用到解决实际问题中去。

Step4: Practice

1. Part A3  Listen to the recording again and finish partA3 and then read the passage together.

2. Explain some language points.

3. Do some exercises about Anne and her diary.

　朗读文章帮助学生再次了解本课的内容，并适当穿插一些语言点的讲解。

Step5: Speak up

1. Listen with questions :

1).How old was the boy in the book I Am David?

2)What’s the name of the book that Millie read?

3)What does Millie hope?

2. Brainstorm:

Work in groups.

Have a discussion about World War Ⅱ.

Use their conversation as a model.

Show some useful phrases for the Ss to choose.

Step6: Homework

1.Remember the key words and phrases.

2.Try to retell the dialogue in part B.

3.Try to find out why Jews were looked down upon (被歧视) in the past.
