Title

7A Unit 1 Task

Teaching objectives:

1.      Knowledge objectives:

(1) Students are expected to be able to grasp all the sounds

(2) How to introduce oneself.

2.      Ability objectives:

(1) Read the sounds correctly and spell some words by using it

(2) Get information by reading, and write something about themselves.

3.      Value objectives

(1) Realize the importance of pronunciation

(2) Make a self-introduction literally

 

Teaching key points and difficult points:

1. Phrases: live with my family, wear glasses, be good at doing

2. Structures:

  (1) Hello, everyone! I am Daniel.

  (2) I come from Nanjing, but now I live with my family in Beijing.

3. Students can write an introduction about themselves.

Teaching Procedures

Designing aims

Step1: Lead-in

Play a guessing game: First read some sentences on the PPT and ask students to guess who he/ she is. Then students say some sentences about Millie, Simon, Sandy and Daniel and let other students guess.

 

通过猜明星的游戏,营造轻松活泼的学习氛围。同时,通过学生间自说自猜让他们在寓教于乐的氛围中很好的复习Reading的内容。

Step2: Presentation

1. Read Daniel’s article in partA and answer some questions.

2. Read his article again and discuss the main idea of each paragraph

3. Fill in the blanks about Daniel’s article

 

首先带着问题阅读,帮助学生进一步理解文章内容。其次帮助学生了解段落大意,为之后的写作做好铺垫。最后通过缺词填空层层递进,为之后的写作做好支架的建构。

 

 

 
Step3: Write a profile

1. complete a profile about Daniel according to part A.

2. make profiles for yourselves

Each student takes out a piece of paper to make his/her own profile.

通过Part A让学生自己总结关于Daniel的几个关键点,这样学生可以延伸到关于自己的几个关键点,从而设计一个自己的名片,为接下来的写作做铺垫,降低写作的难度。

 

Step4: Write and show

1.       Write about yourself with the help of your profile. Use the useful expressions we have learned today.

2.  Then introduce yourself in front of classmates.

写是语言输出的又一种形式。它能全面检验和衡量学生的英语运用能力。而利用课文教学进行写作训练效果十分明显。训练的形式多种多样,可以指导学生仿写、缩写、续写、改编等。在台前展示,总结本课时,达成情感目标。

 

Step7: Homework

1. Share your composition with other groups after class.

2. Finish the exercises in the workbook.

3. Revise the whole unit.

 

巩固所学,进行单元复习。让学生课后交流作文,弥补课堂时间有限的不足,创造更多说英语和取长补短的机会。
