7A Unit 1 Welcome to the unit

Teaching objectives:

1.      Knowledge objectives:

(1) Students are expected to be able to greet in English.

(2) Students are expected to master some vowels..

2.      Ability objectives:

(1) Students are expected to be able to introduce themselves in English.

(2) Students are expected to read vowels correctly.

3.      Value objectives

Students are expected to be able to know the pronunciation of five vowels in open and closed syllables.

 

Teaching key points and difficult points:

1. Phrases: look after

2. Structures:

  (1) What’s your name?

  (2) How to look after your e-dogs.

3. Pronounce vowels in open and closed syllables correctly

4. Apply rules to read new words.

 

Teaching methods: Communicative teaching, Co-operative learning

Teaching Procedures

Designing aims

Step 1 presentation

1. T introduces herself, and talk with students: How are you? Ss: Fine, thank you.

2. T talks with students: Good morning. I’m Miss/Mr… My English name is … What’s your name? Guide Ss to speak: Good morning. Miss… I’m … /My name is …Do you have an English name? What is it? (Ask more than one student) and write them down on the blackboard. T says to Ss: Look at the blackboard and read after me(twice).

 

1.首先通过介绍自己引入今天的话题,给学生做出如何向他人介绍自己的示范。

2. 随后通过向某些学生发问来让学生主动介绍自己,让师生之间迅速认识彼此,并学会拿英语介绍自己。

 

Step 2 Exercise

1. Ss apply these phrases to greet in pairs: Boys and girls, it’s time for you to practice now. Please greet your partner. Ask for your partner’s name. Don’t forget to say “Good morning.” before you ask.

2. T walks around the classroom, and encourage Ss: Good. / You are great.

 

1.  给学生们一个用英语认识彼此的机会。

2.  在学生们互动的同时,老师积极进行指导并鼓励学生继续用英语来学会交流。

 

Step 3 Game

1. Put students’ numbers in a bag. T chooses a name in random and let him introduce himself, such as Good morning, I’m …After introduction, the student choose another one.

2. According to what they have learned, Ss are arranged to work in pairs with part C for reference.

 

用游戏的方式检测学生是否会用英语熟练的介绍自己,让这一环节更有趣味性。

 

Step 4 Show

1.Ss are chosen in groups of three to show the dialogue.

2.Introduce some new friends to students.

通过选择部分同学来展示对话检测他们练习得效果。

Step5: Vowels

1. Show students some words and let them find out which group these words belong to.

2. Read the words and put them in the correct groups.

3. Read the following sentences and phrases. Pay attention to the sounds of the letters in red.

4. Read these words and find out the rules.

5. Read the words below. Then put them under the correct sound groups.

6. Read the phrases below.

 

1. 通过不同的形式让学生熟练掌握同一字母的不同发音。

2. 通过读、听、对比等形式来帮助学生辨别这些元音的差别,更好地帮助他们准确发音。

 

Step6: Comics

1. Introduce two new friends to students and watch the video carefully.

2. Answer questions and pay attention to the key sentences.

3. Learn some key language points.

4. Fill in the blank and read the passage fluently.

Step7: Vowels

1. Listen to these words and find out the rules.
