教学过程 Step 1.Pre-checking 完成句子。 1 Eddie was sleeping when it started to rain.(提问) 2 He was reading a story at eight last night.( 否定句) 3 They were playing basketball at that time.(一般疑问句) Step 2.Free talk Have a talk with the students and introduce some new words: terrible . discuss . guidebook . break Step 3 presentation Presentation of the structure 1. Ask and answer. Look at the pictures and ask : What was he /were they doing? Were they …? Present : was/were+ doing 2. Work out the rules. 3. Ask and answer in pairs Step 4 Practice 1. Game: Pass words. Give some sentences using the past Continuous Tense for each group of the students to pass from the first to the last. 2. Watch and describe. Show some pictures for the students to describe with the Past Continuous Tense. 3. Get the students to complete the passage in Part A1 &A2, then check the answers. Step 5 Production Show some pictures for the students to make a dialogue using the Past Continuous Tense according to the pictures. Ask some pairs to act out their dialogues.
