Step 1:revision

T：in his unit, we have learnt much about home in different countries. Are your homes in China like the homes in other countries?

Step 2: new teaching

Questions：

What kind of home do you live in ?

Do you live in a house or a flat?

How many floors are there in your house、

How many rooms do you have in your home?.....

Step 3:survey

Finish partA

Give each student a piece of paper with some questions about  their dream home.

Questions:

What kind of home would you like to live in？

How many rooms dou you wan to have in your dream home？

What are the rooms？

Do you want to have a garden?

How many people will live in your dream home?.....

Step 3: reading

Everyone has his or her dream home. So does simon. Ask “how many rooms are there in  simon’s dream home？”

Listen and answer questions:

How many floors does simon’s dream home have?

What is on the second floor?

Dose he have a garden ?....

Step 5: writing

Ask students to wtite an article about theor pwm dream home according to their imagination.

Step 10: homework

Finish a composition

本课时为写作课，要指导学生在写作前理清思路，并提醒学生在课前用调差问卷的方式获取相关信息，在写作中选择需要的语言和结构，激发自己的想象力和创造性，并用语言表达出来。

其中背景知识部分向学生介绍如何用英语进行创造性写作。前几个部分已经为他们在构思和词汇方面打下了基础。

填写调查卷能帮助学生培养现实生活中的使用技能。在此部分，学生运用本单元学过的语言描述自己居住的环境，并相互交流。调查问卷中的问题引导学生用语言描述自己的家。

B部分向学生示范如何发挥想象力。在此练习中，他们可以写自己的梦想家园。教师鼓励学生运用语言时要富有想象力和创造力。他们梦想中的家园可能完全不现实，但只要想象合理就应该接受。

整节课下来感觉学生对理想中的家园还是很向往的。上课气氛热烈。
