Knowledge objectives:

To learn some words and expressions about environmental protection :presentationenvironment-friendlyforecastsmoggysmog,responsible ,reusable,issue.

To be able to use these sentences skillfully:Could you share with us some effective ways to protect the environment?/That is helpful to improve... and reduce.../Is there anything else we can do?/Many people have realized the importance of environmental protection./And by ..., we can help to deal with big environmental issues.

Ability objectives:

To understand talks about environmental problems and protection.

To talk about measures for environmental protection.

Emotional objectives: 

To understand the importance of protecting environment.


Step 1  Warming up

Brainstorm what we can do to protect the environment.

 

Step 2  Listening

1. Listen and match.

1)Before playing the listening, ask students to read the activities and predict the dialogues ,then listen and match them.

2)Pay attention to the key words to help you get the right choice.

3)Show the scripts to check answers and learn expressions.

2.Listen and choose.

1)Read the questions and options. Guess the main idea of the dialogue.Pay attention to the weather and reason .Then play the listening to choose the right answers.

2)Show answers and try to retell the evidence sentences,then show script to check.

3.Listen and complete.

1Before listening, let students read the form and know the missing parts.Then play the listening to get the key words to fill in the blanks and check their answers.

2)Check answers and show script to help.

4.Sum up.

Conclude the useful words and expression.

 

Step3  Speaking

1. Complete and speak.

1) Read the given sentences first and choose the right one to complete the dialogue.

2) Listen and follow the dialogue to check and practise your pronunciation.

3) Lead the students to think about how to protect environment in daily life.

2.Act and practice.

1) Read the information and situations to prepare a dialogue to solve environmental problems or sort waste.

2)Make own dialogue using the information above,then act it out in front of the class.

3)Show the standard to assess a dialogue on the blackboard.Ask the students to choose the best one.

4Teacher gives some advice and corrects some mistakes.Show an example dialogue.

 

Step 4  Homework

1.Remember the key words and expressions in the period.

2. Make a dialogue to introduce garbage sorting in your family.
