Situation: Li Ming, a student of mechanical engineering, is looking for inspiration from people with outstanding achievements. Here is what he found.

T asks Ss to read the situation and title of the text to make prediction  Who is the man and what is his job.

1. Skimming and Prediction Checking通过略读的阅读策略,检测读前预测。)

 

Ss skim the text and check if theyve made the right prediction.

 

2. Scanning and Chart Filling通过扫读的阅读策略,获取时间线和主要信息。)

 

(1) T asks Ss to scan the text and finish activity 1 by finding out the timeline and the key information about Gao Fenglins life experiences.
