一、教学目标

1. learn about how human activities have caused harm to animals;

2. be aware of the importance of animals and come up with ways to protect animals;

3. write an article for the school newspaper calling for everyone to protect animals.

Writing
Step 4	Students go through “Planning your writing” in Part D on Page 10 on how to write an article for the school newspaper calling for everyone to protect animals. The teacher leads students to pay attention to the structure and the language, and review some important information from Part A, B and C. Step 5	Students check their writings after they finish and exchange drafts with their partners for peer review. The teacher requires students checking if there are any mistakes in terms of punctuation, spelling, grammar, choice of words, style and structure.
